OVCC has secured over $150,000 in community supporting grant funds

SUCESS!: Golden State Warriors Small Business Jumpstart Grant

The Warriors and TriNet are partnering to provide five (5) local small businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area a one-time, $10,000 grant. These grants will offer business owners the resources necessary for their business to grow.

SUCCESS!: Port of Oakland Community Investment Program Grants

OVCC successfully applied to this grant and received sponsorship funds to support both our 2023 Mid Autumn Festival and 2024 Lunar New Year Festival.

"The Port of Oakland Community Investment Program seeks to add value and best serve our diverse communities within the Port’s footprint. This grant program provides grants to benefit the communities in the Port’s Local Impact Area (LIA) in Oakland, Alameda, Emeryville, and San Leandro, as well as communities in the Port’s Local Business Area (LBA) in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties"

SUCCESS! Micro Business Grant

In April 2023, OVCC provided technical support to Nghe Cung Beauty Salon.

Nghe Cung Beauty Salon received recognition for their outstanding business practices when they were awarded a Micro Business Grant. This additional support allowed them to introduce new services, expand their team, and invest in advanced equipment, further enhancing their competitive edge in the beauty industry. By providing financial resources, guidance, and encouragement, these initiatives have empowered local businesses to thrive, contribute to the community, and create employment opportunities.
